Choosing to Be in a Good Mood


Many times we take for granted the power that we hold within ourselves. We all have the ability to live our lives to the fullest and in a positive and enlightened way. We can either choose to be a good person that does good things or a bad person that does bad things. We even have the ability to decide to be the type of person that’s good, but that makes bad or careless choices, which will make others perceive us as bad. We have the decision within ourselves whether we want to wake up and be happy, have a good day, or if we want to be in a bad mood and have a lousy day. Despite what many of us might think, we have the ability to change our mood for the better.

From the moment we wake up in the morning, it can be rise and shine, and let’s do this and conquer the world or we can turn on the snooze button, stay in bed, be lazy, and feel grouchy for the mere fact of having to wake up and go about another day. Our outlook needs to be positive and in good spirits every single day. Our days are filled with moments of emotions that can twist and turn from the little things that happen throughout the day.

It’s important to be a happy person, and to feel good about your life and what you’re doing with it. We all have meaning and purpose, and many times it takes getting to know who you are yourself on the inside, before being able to recognize what that purpose is. Having said that, sometimes we need to lie to ourselves in order to feel better, and to make ourselves able to just get through another day. We all have good days and bad days. But what’s important to remember is that we can make the most out of every day, and feel good about who we are, what we do, and how we live. This is something we need to do if we want to feel happy and be in a pleasant mood.

Our mood can affect our entire day, and that’s why it’s imperative to start our day right from the moment we get out of bed in the morning. The second that you wake up, recognize that you have a new beginning, another chance, and another opportunity to do anything and everything that your heart desires. It’s important to rid yourself of negative and toxic emotions, throw out your pessimism, and create happiness within yourself through positivity by having an optimistic outlook. Keep these thoughts in your mind and in your heart when you wake up, and control your emotions to the point where you feel good and happy about getting another chance.

Every day we have the possibility of new and wonderful opportunities that will come our way. Go after your dreams, and turn them into goals. If you want to be in a good mood and have a great day, you need to start out by waking up in a good mood. There’s really no such thing as waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Every side of the bed is the right side if you want it to be. The truth is, at any point in the day and not solely in the morning, you have the power within yourself to change your mood in an instant, and a split second.

Don’t blame others for how you feel inside. No one puts you in a bad mood. You put yourself in a bad mood by keeping toxic and negative emotions inside of your heart, or even by keeping negative and toxic people in your life. Make whatever changes you need to in order to create a positive environment where you live, and in your surroundings. Don’t make excuses for why you’re in a bad mood, because you choose your mood. You choose to be in a bad mood when you’re in one, and you can change that. All you need to do is think optimistically, kill negative thoughts, let go of hurt, anger, and resentment, and feel good about yourself inside and out. Kill those negative thoughts and emotions with positive ones, and last but not least, smile, and have a great day.
