It’s Time for Some Zen


There are many things that we can do to improve our lives and bring about more happiness. For many people, happiness is a struggle, but it shouldn’t be, nor does it have to be. Feeling happy is something that we should all be so lucky to experience. But the truth is, we’re all capable of feeling somewhat happy for the most part. Unless you’re the type of person that thrives and get some sick enjoyment out of feeling miserable, you’re probably in control of how happy you let yourself be on a daily basis.

We all have the power to create happiness in ourselves, and we’re also able to change our moods at times when we feel less than happy. No one’s going to feel happy every single second of the day. Our moods change all of the time depending on different things that affect us throughout our daily lives. When you live in busy cities like Los Angeles, California, you’re more likely to have to deal with things like heavy traffic, and an endless list of other reasons that could come about as to why someone’s mood might become affected. Our moods can get affected by other people, their moods, their actions, as well as other things that surround us. Hey, our moods may even get affected by our own actions or mistakes that we might make.

It’s important to understand that our moods can’t remain the same, nor stably happy continuously without change. At least, not unless we’re living on some type of farm or out in the wilderness. But the truth is, even if we’re living out in a farm or in the wilderness somewhere, we’re still bound to run into issues, and daily stresses. There’s going to be problems, issues, and concerns for each and everyone of us, despite where we’re living, despite the people that we surround ourselves with, and despite the decisions that we make in life.

So knowing that despite anything we do or say, and despite where we live and who we surround ourselves with, we only have so much power and control over what goes on in our life that could affect our mood. Having said that, we do have a certain amount of control over how we feel inside, and it’s important to get a grip on our emotions so that we’re not unstable in any way, and so that we do our part as a human being by having a sense of calm, inner peace, and a feeling of content that were able to truly embrace.

We need to feel happiness from within as much as possible so that we can bear the everyday challenges that we might have to face. No one is perfect, and although we can’t expect our lives to be perfect either, we can do many things to enhance having a calm state of mind, and a feeling of Zen as much as possible. We can do practices of meditation, yoga, praying, or even counting to 10 in order to relieve some of our daily stress. We can also do things like exercise, eat healthy, get an adequate amount of REM sleep, and live a predominantly healthy lifestyle which are all things that could affect our mood.

Last but not least, there are many types of breathing meditations that we’re able to practice in order to feel at peace. There are even therapists that can help ease some of our stress by talking to them, having them listen, and feeling heard. A lot of times in life, we feel stressed out, because we have no one to vent to, or we might not even feel heard by our partner or loved ones. Sometimes just having someone that’s willing to listen to our worries, stress, and problems makes us feel better. However, I don’t believe that we should vent our stress to people to an extreme extent where we end up transferring our stress to others. It’s imperative to realize that we all have our own stresses and concerns in life. To some extent, we need to deal with our own worries and anxieties, and not transfer our negative energy to anyone else. Instead, we should try to deal with our own stress by trying to do some of the previous suggestions that I gave you.

I’m sure that there are many other ways to acquire more inner peace as well. Which ever way that you feel gaining more inner peace will work for you, those are the methods that you should try. Different things work for different people. Having said that, it’s important to choose some type of way so that you’re doing your part in life by working on yourself, and improving yourself from within.   1. Moods can be a barometer that tell us our inner peace has been affected by someone and the message: remove yourself, can be clear. Take a mood and turn it over ? Make it a good thing.
