They say that “misery loves company,” but knowing that the point in life is to feel happy, motivated, and inspired, we need to avoid miserable people whenever possible. Don’t waste your time with people who hold you back in life. People can be selfish. Focus on what brings more light and love into your life and what adds to the good things that you already have.Don’t settle for someone just so that you’re not alone. And never settle for being with someone who treats you poorly, acts selfishly, who’s unstable, unpredictable, or abusive in any way. Don’t surround yourself with people who bring out the worst in you, and who take away your inspiration.
Do what makes you happy, and surround yourself with those who not only bring out the best in you, but who also inspire you to be better, who are patient, loving, selfless, giving, have pure intentions, and who truly have your best interest at heart. Don’t waste your time, effort, energy, and love on people who intentionally or unintentionally bring you down to their level and into their state of misery and negativity. Don’t let people treat your poorly because they’re going through challenging times or because of their own issues. We all go through hard times, and we all have our own issues. We need to deal with our own issues, work through our challenging times, and not let them make us into negative, angry, or bitter people.
Appreciate what you have and appreciate those who stand by your side. But don’t expect someone to stick around and be a pillar of strength to you or take on all of your stress, just because you feel the need to vent or blame someone for what you’re going through and for how you’re feeling. You see, no one is going to want to stick around and be a good partner to someone, a friend, or even a listening ear if you’re going to be negative, because negativity transfers onto others.
It’s one thing to vent your feelings or express yourself and let someone who’s close to you know what you’re going through, but it’s another thing to put them down, belittle them, or abuse them in anyway, whether emotionally or physically, simply because you can’t deal with the stress in your life. No one owes you their time, their love, or their energy, so it’s important to realize that, and to be appreciative of who’s in your life by being kind, regardless of what you’re feeling or going through.
Watch someone’s words and actions and if you see that their word means nothing or they they never follow through with things, that they repeatedly lie, that they’re unfocused, unstable, or lack motivation towards becoming a better person, leave their toxic world, and don’t associate with them any longer. Love yourself enough to say goodbye to those who make you feel worse. Life is too short to stick around with someone and stay in a situation where you’re not only you’re not moving forward in life, but where you’re being held back or even going backwards, and moreso, when it’s on a spiritual level.
Be strong, be resilient, and know your self worth. Be independent, be loving, and be kind, but remember to only surround yourself with like-minded individuals. Be the best version of yourself that you can be, stay optimistic, and do everything in your power to hold onto your inspiration. If you see that you’re lacking inspiration because of certain choices that you’ve made or because the people that you’ve been surrounding yourself with have been bringing you down, and in the process, killing your inspiration, take a hold of your life and make better choices starting by surrounding yourself with more positive and enlightened individuals.
You make your own choices in life, so you can’t blame other people for how they act, or what they say and do. Own up to your mistakes, and come to terms with the fact that you’re in charge of your life, and you have the power within you to make better decisions, and to live your life with peace, happiness, light, and love. And the same goes for when others blame you for their bad choices or their decisions in life, because we all need to own up to our own mistakes. We all have free will, so we’re free to make our own choices, and we can either learn from our mistakes and grow while staying optimistic in the process, or we can blame others around us for why we’re so miserable and why we’re left with consequences of bad choices that we’ve made.
At the end of the day, remember, it’s O.K. to mess up and make mistakes at times. But once we realize that we’ve made mistakes, or when we see that certain things aren’t working for us in our life, we not only need to acknowledge them, but we need to fix them. We need to own up to our mistakes, make better decisions, stay optimistic, and surround ourselves with people who are also striving to improve themselves and their lives. No one has the power to hold you back in life. That is, not if you don’t give them the power to do so.
